Counselors need to know how, and to what end,
they are trying to help people with problems.
Currently the field has a proliferation of descrip-
tive labels to help guide this process. Many of
these are helpful, some, less so.

Christian counselors should seek personal
transformation and spiritual maturity that
allows them to see the world through God’s
eyes and communicate the love of God and
love of neighbor in biblically effective ways.

Did you know that your beliefs about
God affect your neurobiology?
Scripture directs us to think about
things that are true, noble, right,
pure, lovely, and admirable and
neuroscience even tells us that
doing differently hijacks our brains
and causes immeasurable harm.
The field of neuro-theology helps
us understand how some recent
developments in science reveal truth
we have in Scripture.
