T

he inaugural “The Struggle is Real” Sum-

mit in beautiful Mount Pleasant, South

Carolina, at Seacoast Church, focused

on mental health and the larger mission

of the Church. Anchored and developed by the

world’s leading Christian counseling organization,

the American Association of Christian Counselors

(AACC), along with co-host, Seacoast Church, the

Summit’s focus was to ignite a movement within

the Church to break the silence and stigma of men-

tal illness and offer a gateway of grace, love, under-

standing, help, hope, and direction for those who

struggle, as well as their families and loved ones.

“Praise be to the God

and Father of our Lord

Jesus Christ, the Father of

compassion and the God of

all comfort, who comforts

us in all our troubles, so that

we can comfort those in any

trouble with the comfort we

ourselves receive from God.”
