any Christians in the counseling field follow both the American Coun-
seling Association (ACA)
Code of Ethics
(2014) and the American
Association of Christian Counselors (AACC)
Code of Ethics
(2014). It
can be a challenge to determine priority in considering the two. Students
in master’s counseling programs, as well as practicing clinicians, may struggle in how to
intertwine these ethics codes effectively. So often, students and professionals may not
take the time to consider how to best integrate and balance the expectations of the
codes they have chosen to follow.
